This spring was a great one! Mowing has started in earnest so we’ll be spending every spare moment mowing, lol. It feels like it anyway. I love this time of year though, we finally can get outside. The horses are busy shedding off their old winter coat and growing into their new summer shinny ones. The most recent exciting news at the stable is that we have a new pretty face around here with her horse that calls us home: welcome Kami and Lady. We are so excited to see all you’re going to accomplish in the horse world!!
Beautiful good man Finn is demonstrating “THAT” time of year is the time the old (hair that is) is gone and the new (hair that is) is come! In just a few weeks all the horses will shed that old dull dying winter hair and show their new glossy summer coats. Sometimes I wish we all had a set yearly season to do away with the old non-producing things in our lives so we can move into the new growth that is yet to come.
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Hebrews 12:1
Seasons of the moon
I just love this time of year! There is new life is all around us! You can’t tell it, but the waxing crescent moon in my picture was bright orange, it was breathtaking! The Jews say, about the moon, this time of year: “You are a crown of glory for those who are borne in the womb, for they, like you, are destined to be renewed.” I am thankful for renewal and new life as I’m sure we all are.
Happy riding, spring is upon us!! 🙂
